Long Island Solar

Advances in technology and the availability of local installers have reduced the cost of going solar. For Long Island, extensive rebates and incentives further decreases the cost. This not only makes it a viable alternative, but a sound financial investment.
The industry has grown rapidly in recent years, with the trend continuing at an accelerating pace. The following table shows the estimated number of installations throughout Suffolk and Nassau counties as of March 2009. It should be noted that this is actually an underrepresentation, since these only reflect systems installed through the LIPA rebate program (other systems predate the program).
